Order Materials for Music Memory
Arts Education Ideas is the BEST source for Music Memory Materials.  Their curriculum is worth every penny.  Here's what you need to get started:

Music Memory Bulletin- This is a notebook with very complete lesson plans to go with each selection and a short assessment.  It also has the basic testing materials needed, wall signs for classroom display, correlation to National standards and TEKS (that's Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills), a CD for listening and a CD of excerpts for testing and review and, most importantly, transparencies of listening maps for each selection.  This is the one item you MUST have.  It cost $66.50.

Magic Maps- This product will save you HOURS of prep time.  It shows the listening maps with a "magic wand" that follows along as you listen to the music.  The teacher doesn't have to read the mind of whoever designed the listening map!  It's there for you.  You can order this as a CD-Rom for Windows or Mac or on a DVD to show on your TV screen.  No computer needed.  It costs $75.00.

Teacher's Resource Binder- This has a student worksheet for each selection.  The best thing in here is the Picture tests.  These are great for ESL and Recourse kids.  Some teachers use these for all students until the "contest" test.  Great student success.  Also in here you will find Flashcards, Timelines, Composer Portraits, Substitue lessons, Movement lessons, and more Puzzles and Games.  I LOVE this book!  It only costs $28.50.
