Order Materials for Music Memory
ideasArts Education Ideas is the BEST source for Music Memory Materials.  Their curriculum is worth every penny.  Here's what you need to get started:

Music Memory CD Package- This is a notebook with very complete lesson plans to go with each selection and a short assessment.  It also has the basic testing materials needed, wall signs
for classroom display, correlation to National standards and TEKS (that's Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills), a CD for listening and a CD of excerpts for testing and review. Also this year the package includes "video maps" which are animated listening maps and PDF files so you can print your own transparencies of listening maps for each selection.  This is the one item you MUST have.  It cost $71.25.

Magic Maps- This product will save you HOURS of prep time.  It shows the listening maps with a "magic wand" that follows along as you listen to the music.  The teacher doesn't have to read the mind of whoever designed the listening map!  It's there for you.  The 2 DVD set (See DEMO)  has the Magic Maps listening maps PLUS a mini lesson for each selection and a second listening opportunity that has "Bubble Talk" for kids to read as they listen.  A Quick Quiz is also included.  You can also order this as a CD-Rom for Windows or Mac with just the listening Magic Maps.   It costs $40.00.  Order NOW!!

Teacher's Resource Binder- This has a student worksheet for each selection.  The best thing in here is the Picture tests.  These are great for ESL and Resource kids.  Some teachers use these for all students until the "contest" test.  Great student success.  Also in here you will find Flashcards, Timelines, Composer Portraits, Substitute lessons, Movement lessons, and more Puzzles and Games.  I LOVE this book!  It only costs $35.00.

There are other wonderful  support items avalible at http://aeideas.com.  Be sure to check it out.  I give my students the oportunity to order their own copy of the student CD at the beginning of every year.  Many get the "Student handbook and CD package".
